Looking for a tasty pre-workout snack? This week's Healthier You recipe calls for White Chocolate Protein Rice Krispies! These homemade rice krispie squares are just like the Rice Krispie Treat but have additional protein in the mix! This recipe highlights our go-to Vanilla Bean Isolate Protein powder for a yummy bite-sized snack. We hope you love this recipe as much as we do!

White Chocolate Protein Rice Krispie Treats

INGREDIENTS:

6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
3 scoops AstroFlav Vanilla Bean Ice Cream protein powder
1 full package of mini marshmallows
3 Tbs butter - I usedCountry Crock Olive Oil plant based
1/4 cup white chocolate chips for topping

DIRECTIONS:

In a large pot, melt the butter over the stove.
Next, add in bag full of marshmallows and stir frequently until smooth. Texture will be sticky, but make sure clumps of marshmallow are gone.
Remove from heat and add in protein powder and stir. Make sure to do this step quickly as the marshmallow mixture is becoming tougher to mix.
Finally, add in Rice Krispies cereal one cup at a time and stir until cereal is fully covered in marshmallow mixture.
Spray a 9x13 pan with cooking oil to prevent sticking. Transfer marshmallow mixture into pan and begin to flatten out with metal spoon. You may have to use your hands to flatten and spread the mix to cover the pan!
Sprinkle white chocolate chips on top for additional flavor and let sit for 1-2 hours. Enjoy!
