AstroFlav® was started by a couple of us who, for years, worked in supplement stores. Through one-on-one interactions and listening to what customers said, we realized that they felt the supplement industry was ignoring their needs.
We felt the companies were trying to take advantage of their customers and selling quick fixes that weren’t getting people the help or the results they wanted. We were able to learn what consumers wanted through direct customer feedback. That made us want to build a high-trust company in a currently low-trust industry, where we could focus on customer service and satisfaction.
It’s no mystery that so many companies sell “elite” sports supplements.
Around the world, countless advertisers, websites and supplement companies are responding to all the negative ideas about body image that exist in our society. They are taking advantage of you and selling quick fixes that weren’t getting people the help or the results they wanted.
Almost from birth, we are overwhelmed with messages that say, "do you want to look/be like her/him?" That's especially the case for the fitness space. We are subtly and persuasively educated to avoid, hide, hold back or even fear being ourselves.
It's a little absurd when you think about it.
We all want long, happy, fulfilling lives... but we're taught to hide (or even fear) being yourself? It's ridiculous.
Our AstroFlav founder, Brian Tweer, recognized this.
