In our latest macro-friendly recipe, we bring to you Cinnamon Swirl Protein Pancakes , featuring the star ingredient - Astroflav's irresistible Cinna Crunch IsoMix. Get ready to flip your way to a delicious and nutritious morning treat!
Oats – Blended to make a fine gluten-free oat flour ; also full of fiber and whole grains!
AstroFlav Cinna Crunch IsoMix – To add extra protein and extra sweetness. One scoop will give you an additional 24 grams of protein!
Banana – Adds extra sweetness and prevents dry pancakes.
Egg – Provides additional protein and serves as a rising agent when cooking.
Almond milk
Medium sized mixing bowl
Blender (optional)
Frying pan or griddle
Don’t over-mix the pancake batter. Some clumps of flour are okay. If you mix too much, the pancakes won’t fluff up.
Use a nonstick pan so the protein cinnamon swirl pancakes don’t stick to the pan.
Cook on medium-low heat to prevent the healthy cinnamon bun pancakes from burning before they cook though.
Grease the pan well between each pancake batch so that the pancakes don’t stick to the pan.
Let the sides dry out, top form bubbles before flipping a sign that the bottom is also cooked completely; This way you won’t have to double flip later.
1/2 cup oats
1 scoop AstroFlav Cinna Crunch protein powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 egg
1/2 banana (mashed)
Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
Protein Cinnamon Drizzle:
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
3-4 TBS unsweetened almond milk
1 TBS Cinna Crunch protein powder
In a medium size bowl, combine all ingredients dry ingredients: oats, protein powder, baking powder, and cinnamon.
Add wet ingredients to mixture: egg, mashed banana, & almond milk.
Whisk until all ingredients are mixed evenly. If there are too many clumps of banana, you can blend all the ingredients together.
Pour batter to make 3-4 pancakes on medium-low heat on a nonstick pan or griddle.
Cook until edges are dry and top has bubbles. Flip and cook the other side; About 2 minutes each side.
Stack pancakes, drizzle with protein drizzle, and enjoy!
Substitutes:
Oats: Can use all-purpose flour or gluten-free baking flour.
Cinna Crunch IsoMix - You can experiment with any of our protein powder flavors! Vanilla and Chocolate PB would taste just as great!
Banana: Swap banana for unsweetened applesauce.
Almond milk: Swap almond milk for regular milk, oat milk, or any other dairy alternative milk.
Greek yogurt: If you are vegan, you can swap for coconut or cashew yogurt.
