Cottage Cheese Protein Cookie Dough is on the Healthier You menu today and we can assure you this recipe trend is definitely worth the hype. Made with cottage cheese, almond flour, and of course one of our best-tasting IsoMix protein powder. Keep scrolling to find out which one packed this edible cookie dough with 20+ grams of protein!
Cottage cheese - The key ingredient of this recipe and makes the cookie dough high in protein.
Maple Syrup - I used SF maple syrup for this recipe, but regular or honey would work just as well.
Almond flour - Keeps the recipe low carb and one of the only flours safe to eat raw.
AstroFlav Cinna Crunch IsoMix - Cinna Crunch for a sweet oatmeal chocolate chip flavor. Can sub for Vanilla or Chocolate IsoMix as well.
Vanilla extract - To give the cookie dough an original homemade chocolate chip cookie taste.
Mini chocolate chips - I used semi-sweet for this recipe but any style chocolate chips would taste just as great!
High-speed blender or food processor
Blend cottage cheese and maple syrup until smooth. If the texture is too dry, add a few splashes of almond milk to make smooth without any chunks of cottage cheese.
If texture is too wet after dry ingredients have been added, add in a little bit more almond flour to thicken up the dough.
Transfer cookie dough to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator. This recipe should stay fresh for up to one week.
For longer storage, you can freeze the cookie dough for up to 3 months. When ready to be enjoyed, grab one (or two or three) from the freezer and enjoy!
In a high speed blender or food processor, add cottage cheese, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
Pour mixture into a medium sized bowl. Then add dry the almond flour and protein powder. Mix until well combined.
Fold in chocolate chips and mix again until cookie dough is perfect consistency.
Scoop into small glass jars or an airtight container and enjoy!
Substitutes:
Almond flour: can sub for oat flour, but will make recipe higher in carb.
Maple syrup: can sub for honey or SF maple syrup.
Chocolate chips: sub chocolate chips for raisins, nuts, or even sprinkles!
