STRAWBERRIES & CREAM PROTEIN OATS

The perfect breakfast to keep you satisfied until lunch! This week's Healthier You recipe is brought to you by our sweetest Strawberry Isomix: Strawberries & Cream Protein Baked Oats. STRAWBERRIES & CREAM PROTEIN OATS

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup oat flour (40 grams)

  • 1 scoop AstroFlav StrawBerry IsoMix

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/4 cup nonfat Greek yogurt

  • 1 egg

  • 1 TBS sugar free maple syrup (21 grams)

  • 1-2 TBS sugar free jelly or low sugar strawberry preservers


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° & spray a small baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients.

  3. Next, combine the Greek yogurt, egg, almond milk, and maple syrup to the bowl of dry ingredients. Mix together until batter-like consistency.

  4. Pour half of the batter into prepared baking dish and spread out evenly with a spoon or spatula.

  5. Spread strawberry jam in the center of the batter. Then, pour the remaining batter on top and spread evenly.

  6. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until lightly brown on top and fully baked in the middle. Set aside and let cool.

  7. For the strawberry frosting: mix together 1/4 cup Greek yogurt & 1/2 scoop strawberry protein powder. Spread on top & enjoy!


Recipe notes:

  • Recipe can be made without Greek yogurt. Use 1/4 cup of almond milk instead.

  • Make sure to not over-bake! Oats can come out dry and not as moist!

  • To prepare for the next day, place a covering over unfrosted oats and then spread frosting in the morning!
